If you were a customer, what would you want? This is a question that you should be asking yourself frequently. Your goal is to make things easy for your customers and to build solid working relationships. If you do not know what a customer wants, just ask. Seeing any business from your customer's point of view is a powerful tool. It is sometimes difficult to find the right balance between what you want and what your customers want.

First and foremost, you must remember that your success will depend on your ability to attract clients and to make them happy. Without clients, you do not have a translation job. Then you would have to put on a power suit, print out some resumes and look for a job as an in-house translator or interpreter. You would most likely work in a traditional office environment, with a boss, a hierarchy, office rules, gossip, and fridges full of moldy lunch containers with labels on them. If you do not want that, then keep your customers happy.

You should analyze each situation separately. Customers want professional translation services from a professional company. This includes answering the phone professionally and having a well-designed website. You should create an environment in which the customer can feel comfortable and well taken care of.

Do not beat around the bush. Answer questions truthfully and clearly. Give customers the information they need in order to make informed purchasing decisions. Customers want their deadlines met. Delivering quality translation work on time is the minimum requirement in any profession, especially if you would like referrals. Customers do not necessarily want to be educated, unless it is very gently. Think of yourself as a customer. Buyers of translation and interpretation services might not know what a source language is, nor do they need to know that. It is your job to clearly define the industry-specific terms that the client might not be familiar with, to explain how the process works, and to enable the customer to make good decisions. Make things simple and easy to under­stand for your customer.

Include as much information as possible in your written price quotes, such as delivery time, precise cost breakdown, documents needed from the customer to finish a translation project, terms and conditions, etc. All this should be put in writing for the benefit of both parties. Be sure to have customers sign the quote before you commence work.

A lot of couples are tired of the same old, boring date nights, but in today's economy, a lot of couples don't have a lot of choices even if they are getting to have a date night at all. The best thing you can do for yourself in this economy is to eliminate as much stress as possible and make room for some quiet time with your honey. 3.)    Take it outdoors for the night. A camping trip is a nice way to shake things up and is cheaper than a hotel or bed and breakfast. Be sure to pick a nice, secluded spot so that it really feels like a getaway. You can enjoy a fun and affordable dinner by roasting hot dogs for dinner and enjoying some marshmallows for dessert.

4.)    Be daydreamers for a day. You can take the afternoon to visit a couple open houses, test drive some cars, or try out some new furniture at a local store. All of these options are not only free, but it is also a lot of fun to pretend like you actually have money to spend for a day.

5.)    Try live entertainment. A lot of local bars and restaurants put on weekend concerts that feature local bands. There may be a small cover charge to get into the bar, but by the time you get in a buy a beer, you've spent as much as you would on a movie ticket, if not less, and you still get to talk to each other!

6.)    Go on a photo scavenger hunt. Send yourselves on a photo scavenger hunt around your town or local mall, but make sure your both in every picture. It may be tricky to always get both of you in it, but it will be a lot of fun and you will end up with a lot of fun new pictures of you and your sweetie.

7.)    Dinner and a movie at home. This may be the same ole', same ole' to you, but you can always put your own spin on it. First if you have kids send them to stay with friends or grandparents for the night. Make sure you have everything you need, so you don't have to go out and get anything. Turn off your cell phones, unplug the home phone, and turn off the PC, make some real time for just each other tonight. You can even go as far as to pretend like all the electricity went out, and just spend time playing a board game and enjoying each other by candlelight (P.S. You'll be saving money on your electric bill too!)

As you can see there are a lot of fun and affordable ideas out there, all you have to do is get creative and see what you can come up with. The important thing is that you are actually making time for you and your special someone, because everyone needs some down time no matter how they get it. So grad your sweetie and make a date, you don't have any excuses anymore.

North of Liverpool is Manchester and this is another area that has a lot to offer the visitor.

No visit to the United Kingdom is complete without making the journey to Scotland. The Highlands offers some spectacular scenery and if you have the time then a trip to the island is well worth the effort. Most visitors to Scotland end up in Edinburgh. The castle in the city is stunning and a lot of entertainment is to be found on Rose Street. The Edinburgh comedy festival is one of the biggest of its kind in the world and attracts people from every corner of the globe.

East of Edinburgh is Glasgow and this city has more of an industrial feel to it. This was once the location of some of the busiest shipyards in the world and this has really affected the local culture. As a writer, it's very important that you know how to engage your readers and keep them interested. You would want these people to read your news articles until the end, right? Here's what you can do to make that happen:

How do Republicans win again? What message will reach the modern American people? What the moderates continuously fail to see is the solution needs a philosophical base.

Personally, I was crushed and in tears on election night when Obama won. I couldn't have made it through the last few months without the comfort of this show and I know I'm not alone. For so many he is a daily source for wisdom, guidance and counsel, a source for hope and inspiration in these dark days that haunt us.

And It doesn't stop there. Mark Levin is also president of Landmark Legal Foundation, a tax exempt organization that fights to preserve constitutional principles. Landmark is a watchdog going after the NEA the EPA and other big government organizations. On January 25, 2013 A federal appeals court ruled that President Obama violated the Constitution when he bypassed the Senate to fill vacancies on the National Labor Relations Board. Landmark argued in its brief that the President's use of the Constitution's "recess appointments" clause violated the restrictions placed by the Constitution on that power. What I believe I am watching and witnessing first hand is what I call the reawakening of Enlightenment. This is a cultural conservative movement and the moderates will need to join us or step aside! In the days of Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and what Rush Limbaugh calls the low information voter, Levin has found a way to make the Second Treatise cool to teenagers and upcoming twenty -something hipsters. While Katy Perry sings about her breakups and Beyonce is lip syncing, an underground movement is brewing of unexpected intellectuals learning to fall in love with Bastiat, Alexis de Tocqueville and Montesquieu. A patriotic passion for our framers and the Constitution is lighting up all over this great land of ours. Levin awakens the sleeping masses one by one as people begin to see these philosophers in a whole new light and finally see their impact and influence on our founding fathers. Slowly, I see people undergoing this new affinity with our Constitution and its drafters. Now that we feel this cloud of tyranny, the realization occurs that this freedom we have taken for granted is now slipping away, but this army of citizens can now relate to the framers more than ever before. This is the rebirth of the love of liberty and Levin is leading the charge. He is our conservative pugnacious pit bull, our General Patton, our warrior William Wallace guiding and directing our fight to save the USA.

Mark Levin served in the Justice Department under the wonderful Ed Meese during the Reagan administration. The Reagan spirit is still alive in Levin and in all of us as well. Ronald Reagan once said "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we will sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness." If you suffer from talkativeness or are a criticizer bite your tongue and heed these words. To call forth God's judgment is to revel over the faults of one's fellow beings and criticizing them in a spirit of intolerance.

Some overly liberal newspapers are delving in unscrupulous sensationalism with an uncharitable agenda becoming scandalmongers not the healers of immorality. Publications and journalists who love to spice up reporting and pickle gossip to put up their particular ideological agenda or sell more newspapers are committing a spiritual crime by catering to the degraded taste of readers who are hearsay lovers. Pointing out the mental dirt in others may be great reading in the toilet but is a metaphysical and psychological error. Worst of all are the secular progressives who mock and criticize Christianity when they are actually mocking God.

At the end of our life all the things we have done wrong will be revealed and we must automatically reincarnate to work them out. It is utterly impossible to escape from the court of cosmic laws that govern every single human action until we have worked out and fully paid our karmic bills through reformation, suffering and prayers for liberation. It is not the intelligence of God that condemns you, it is you that condemns yourself to reincarnate, that is the law of cause and effect. Clearly, we are our own judges at death.We must all learn that the intelligence of men cannot be properly directed until he has accepted and understood the inescapability of karmic retribution. Once you have accepted karmic retribution in your life you attain great strength of mind and you will no longer resent anyone for anything that happens to you in life because you understand that everything that happens to you sub serves a divine purpose for your spiritual training, you will no longer complain about anything.

In the past long ago people with dark minds who didn't behave were threatened with dire consequences by the prophets if they didn't learn to change their ways. They were told they would go straight to hell if they didn't. These dark minds would never be able to accept the concept of reincarnation, so they were threatened and still today some in clergy are still terrorizing and preaching that these people will go to hell and burn forever. It is pretty illogical to be condemned to eternal punishment for one lifetime of mistakes. Some of these priests still think the world is not ready for the concept of reincarnation. They think these souls would never behave if they thought they would be given endless chances to come back. God is impersonal in creation, He has given us free will to accept His evil or good creation. Hopefully, by now, you know who created evil. God has originated cosmic evil only to test men giving him countless opportunities to return back to His kingdom.

The understanding of karma as the law of cosmic justice underlines life's inequalities and will serve to free the human mind from hatred and resentment against God and men. We have a tremendous problem with race hatred in our planet today. With the amount of intelligence we have some behave like complete barbarians and there is nothing we can do about it because you can not change the mass consciousness of people until each individual is willing to change. There is no way to change people, we can scream from the podium, have the greatest president in the world but when everyone is blaming everybody else it is the irresponsibility of nations.

In looking at cosmic retribution these nations do not realize they have to change themselves. If Nicaragua, Guatemala, Iraq, Afghanistan or what ever nation is in trouble we Americans should not have to go down there to try to fix something we have not fixed yet in our own country, we must first clean up our own mess. The people of these nations never realized that they themselves created their own situation and yet want to be more like us but if you are born poor you have a poor state of consciousness. The attitude of the mind is everything in life. If attitude is reinforced by Gods presence then people become more and more powerful and able to solve more and more problems and don't ask anyone to solve problems, you solve your own problems with your own intelligence. Fanatically tell the truth because if you say the truth all the time you won't have to worry about being uncovered with what you are doing; you can use truth as one of your most powerful weapons in life.

Keep the thought that each one of us has to make a greater effort in spiritual communion with God. The master says that the moment you meditate no matter how lousy your meditation might be you have placed yourself at the service of God and you can not do a greater action than to sit on the chair, be still and let God work through you; clearly there are so few who want to meditate and those who make the effort make double good karma. 4. Keep yourself groomed.

Sir Gallahad is always clean and neat, whether he's lounging around by himself, or entertaining guests.

Life's hard right now. But it's important to look at the bigger picture instead of getting embroiled in the negative. Are you healthy? There's something to be extremely happy about. Do you have a best friend? A mom? A dad? Happy. Happy. Happy.

Troubled times force us to be more introspective, figuring out who we are without our job descriptions, and what we value without our possessions. Sir Galahad may only be a cat, but he's got a pretty good hold on what's most important in his life. It's just that those things are all that's going on in his life!

Dung Beetles. Superfamily Scarabaeoidea. You might be surprised to learn that there's a dung beetle in your family tree, maybe even at the dinner table, MAYBE in the mirror (are YOU a dung beetle?)

The dung beetle is a beetle whose larvae feed on dung, according to The New Oxford American Dictionary. The larger kinds of beetle place the dung in a hole before the eggs are laid, and some beetles roll the dung along in a ball as they gather it. That's what we have in the Texas Hill Country - the dung-ball-rolling variety.

My first introduction to the dung beetle was fourteen years ago walking with my kids in our neighborhood. I was new to Texas and had been horrified to learn that not only were there scorpions, tarantulas and rattlesnakes here, but that they lived in VERY close proximity, and in the case of scorpions, could be found inside my home!

Naturally, when I saw a large, dark "critter" making its slow progress across the road, I approached with caution. "What new devilry has this god-forsaken terrain cooked up now?" I wondered.

Imagine my surprise when the evil creature turned out to be a small, black beetle rolling an enormous dung ball across the road. I burst out laughing and pointed the roadside attraction out to my son.

I've since seen many such beetles and had a chuckle at their expense, but never thought much about it until about a week ago.

Last week I had occasion to encounter an entirely separate sort of beetle in Texas...

A while back I posted on the need to move beyond the past; I wrote, "What you don't get over, you live under." I thought about that as I was dealing with a relative who was having a hard time letting go of some painful memories when WHAM!! It hit me! She was a human dung beetle!

The more I thought about it, the more it fit. Like the dung beetle, she gathered up all the dung she could find, rolled it up into a great ball, and rolled it along with her wherever she went! Every miserable thing she could think of she wadded up and lovingly patted into place on the huge ball of dung she'd collected over her lifetime. At a moment's notice she could spin her magic ball of dung, find the exact spot she was looking for, and recall with perfect clarity what wrong had been done, by whom, and on what date!

What a waste of energy.

As I thought more about it, I realized a further resemblance to the wee beetles: in her sour attitude and her refusal to move beyond the past, she fed her family, her friends and colleagues a steady diet of dung, as well.

"Hmmm," I thought, "Time to step away from the buffet table!" And then I wondered how many other human dung beetles I knew. Turns out I know a few!

As it happens, there are other parallels between the Hill Country "rollers" and human dung beetles. For instance, if you watch dung beetles, you'll see that on occasion, what looks like a "helper" will show up. This beetle "bad man" appears out of nowhere, comes at a run and looks like he's trying to help his friend push the ball of dung along the road. Further observation, however, will show that the helper is a thief! "Might Is Right" might be the dung beetle motto: An animated dung beetle battle ensues and the victor scurries off with the coveted "ball o' dung."

Think about it: We all know people who thrive on other people's dung. Call it gossip, call it what you will, there's a certain breed of human dung beetle who loves to know what's wrong in your world. Maybe it makes them feel "better than," I don't know; but I do know that it feeds their internal dung beetle larvae.

Occasionally, occasionally, people call or write or blog or text with upbeat "here's what's wonderful today" kind of news; but by and large, they're rolling someone else's dung (or maybe their own) past your doorstep on their way to who-knows-where.

How do you overcome human dung-beetle-ness? I suspect that it starts by acknowledging that you bear a marked resemblance to the busy, dung-toting scarab. Simple awareness will start the process of healing.

And there's always humor; like the old proverb says: Laughter is the best medicine.

I have never been of an idle mind, so I needed something interesting and something stimulating, if I were to work at home after my retirement. So, I was lead to the Internet to find something exciting and of some value. A Home Based Direct Sales is the way to go.

Firstly, I want to say that I wasn't too keen on the movie initially, because I thought the idea of an end of world scenario that happens so quickly without an instantaneous event (like alien invasion or meteor) would be hard to believe, and any plot would be eclipsed by the over-the-top total destruction on screen. Probably because of the low expectation, I thought the movie was barely entertaining.

For a 2.5 hour movie, the pace of the movie was pretty good. The movie was mainly carried by lots of localised disasters, like shattering earth, crumbling buildings, volcanic eruptions coupled with fireballs. While there was nothing being blown up, the actors did enough to deliver the urgency of the situation, even if the pseudo science wasn't so believable.

The almost non-stop destruction seemed pretty cool initially, but after the 20th close-shaves for the main characters, I found myself frowning at their dumb luck. As the car jumped over chasms after chasms, squeezed through gaps after gaps, the suspension of disbelief was completely destroyed. And I would later feel much less emotionally attached with the main characters, as the obstacles they faced from then on were nothing more than speed bumps on the way to definite survival.

The pseudo science was quite annoying, but I guess we can't fault them for trying. Providing a pseudo scientific reason behind the catastrophe was just being responsible. But couldn't get over the choice of the location where the human salvation project was built in the movie. Sure I know the was picked for the reclusiveness, jurisdiction of a superpower, anticipation rising sea levels. But seriously, if earthquakes are amplified around the fault lines, then it would be quite stupid to build the project in the mountains. After all, mountains are created because of pressure between tectonic plates.

All in all, it wasn't a bad movie, considering I went in with low expectation, but it wasn't great either.
